About

At age 24, Briana Holub has been diagnosed with stage 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Anaplastic Astrocytoma is a form of brain cancer that aggressively weaves its way through the entire brain. As it spreads, AA can affect everything from simple motor function to personality traits. Over the summer, a glioma (brain tumor) was found in her right temporal lobe. In November, Briana had surgery to remove the glioma however it’s been discovered that her cancer has spread and is more aggressive than first thought. On February 15, 2013, Briana finished 6 1/2 weeks of proton therapy and chemotherapy. While there is no known cure, AA is treatable with chemotherapy and proton therapy. We are unsure of the exact obstacles Briana will face but we do know that the treatment and expenses will be costly. Her spirits are high and she is ready to fight but we do need your help!

Sunday, April 28th from 1pm – 6pm at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St, Merrionette Park, Il 60803, we will be raising funds so that Briana can keep fighting! We hope to see you all there!
